According to him, “tonight, Russia again attacked the railway infrastructure of frontline communities.”
The Kharkiv region was under attack, where the enemy is trying to slow down connections with eastern Ukraine. Trains have been shifted to alternative routes and continue to run.
In the Chernihiv region, strikes were carried out in areas important for maintaining connections with northern Ukraine, Kuleba said.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Russians struck the railway's energy infrastructure and one of the stations. Reserve locomotives are already keeping traffic moving there.
Several trains heading east are running on altered routes and, accordingly, with delays.
According to Kuleba, delays of up to 5 hours are expected due to damage in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia directions.
Train No. 733 Dnipro-Kyiv is running with an auxiliary locomotive, with an estimated delay of less than an hour.
"The aftermath of the shelling has been ongoing since last night. Even though dozens of drones strike the railway almost every night in a targeted and comprehensive manner to stop one of the country's main infrastructure arteries. Maintaining communication between communities and regions is vital for ensuring supplies and support for people. This is an ongoing process that involves many people across the country," Kuleba stressed.
As reported by Ukrinform, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, the CEO of Ukrainian railways JSC, said that Russian troops attacked the Zaporizhzhia-Kamianske railway station in the Dnipropetrovsk region on the night of November 6.
