Russian forces push into outskirts of Myrnohrad, street fighting underway

Spokesperson for the East  group of troops, Captain Hryhorii Shapoval, reported this live on television, an Ukrinform correspondent notes.

“At present, unfortunately, the Russian invaders have entered the outskirts of Myrnohrad and are using not only artillery and unmanned systems, but also infantry and armored vehicles,” Shapoval said.

According to him, Ukraine’s Defense Forces are holding their positions and continue to reinforce fortifications. The situation remains challenging. Intense street fighting complicates the use of certain types of weapons.

As reported, since the beginning of the day there have been 76 combat engagements between Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops. Fighting continues in five sectors of the front, with the heaviest attacks taking place in the Oleksandrohrad and Pokrovsk sector.
