Ukraine, Croatia to establish joint production chains in defense sector – Shmyhal
According to Ukrinform, Shmyhal announced this on Telegram.
"We are preparing a joint industrial forum for manufacturers at the beginning of next year," he stated.
Shmyhal thanked Croatia for providing 13 military aid packages worth more than EUR 200 million.
"We expect the 14th aid package to arrive soon and the 15th by the end of this year," he said.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed joint participation in the SAFE mechanism and the possibility of Croatia joining the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) initiative. Shmyhal expressed his gratitude for the consideration of this matter.
He also highlighted Croatia's role in the Demining Capability Coalition, noting that the experience of this friendly country is crucial for clearing Ukrainian land. Croatian company DOK-ING has already delivered 69 demining machines and has started producing spare parts in Ukraine.
In addition, the parties discussed potential cooperation in the joint production of FPV drones. Shmyhal noted that Croatia expresses interest in this opportunity. He thanked Anusic and the Croatian people for their strong support of Ukraine.
"We feel support at all levels. Together, we will defend Europe," Shmyhal stressed.
As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine and Poland previously signed a letter of intent on cooperation between the defense industries of both countries.
