Ukrainian border guards repel Russian assault in Donetsk region, destroy 14 armored vehicles

Ukraine's State Border Guard Service published a video showing the combat work of Ukrainian forces, Ukrinform reports.

"Taking advantage of bad weather, the enemy attempted a massive assault near Volodymyrivka, Donetsk region. Shielded by heavy rain, Russian forces hoped to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory. They used around 15 heavy armored vehicles for the attack," the statement said.

In total, 14 pieces of heavy armored equipment were destroyed, including at least one tank.

The enemy landing force – around 50 Russian troops – was also eliminated as they attempted to retreat.

This was already the fourth mechanized assault in this sector repelled by the Phoenix unit in October.

As of October 26, 2025, Ukrainian forces liberated 185.6 square kilometers of land in the Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region, and cleared 243.8 square kilometers.
