Since June 1, nearly 108,000 Ukrainians have been evacuated from frontline regions as of October 9, most of them – more than 77,000 – from the Donetsk region.

Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine's Recovery and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba announced this during a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters, Ukrinform reports, citing the ministry.

"Since June 1, 2025, almost 108,000 people have been evacuated, including about 13,000 children and nearly 3,700 people with limited mobility. The largest number of evacuees are from the Donetsk region – over 77,000, including almost 8,000 children," the report states.

At the meeting, the headquarters approved a decision by the Donetsk Regional Military Administration to carry out mandatory evacuation of children from certain settlements of the Kramatorsk community. A similar decision by the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration was also approved to enforce mandatory evacuation of children from specific settlements in the Kupiansk district.

Currently, 20 transit points are operating across Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Volyn, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Comprehensive services are provided at centers in Pavlohrad, Voloske, and Lozova. The Kyiv City Military Administration has been tasked with opening a transit center in the capital.

At these transit points, people receive financial assistance of UAH 10,800, food and hygiene kits, as well as medical, legal, and psychological support.

In addition, 1,095 temporary accommodation facilities are currently available for displaced persons. Regional administrations have been instructed to create more places to house evacuees.
