Captive from Azov brigade sentenced to 18 years in prison in Rostov

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Vitalii Kostiuchenko, a captured soldier of the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov, to 18 years in a strict regime prison.

This was reported by Mediazona with reference to the court's press service, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that 32-year-old Kostiuchenko was found guilty under articles on participation in a terrorist group and training in terrorist activities.

The case of the captured Azov soldier has been under consideration in court since June this year.

As reported by Ukrinform, during the exchange on October 2, two servicemen of the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity.
