Tourists flee Feodosia en masse due to fire at oil depot
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Krym Realii, citing a local activist.
"Many people are leaving the city. Vacationers and tourists have left the city en masse, leaving only those who have vouchers for sanatoriums. The residents of Feodosia are trying to send their children to relatives and friends, just to get them as far away as possible from the smoke that has descended on the city. The situation is very serious, yet the occupying authorities are remaining silent and not taking any measures to address the problem with the local population," the activist said.
It is noted that the fire at the Feodosia oil depot is intensifying: the flames are spreading to new fuel tanks. As a result, the city is shrouded in a thick cloud of smoke and soot, which is seriously affecting residents.
As reported by Ukrinform, on October 6, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the destruction of the oil and petroleum products transshipment complex in Feodosia. The occupation administration and controlled media in Crimea were instructed to silence the attack on the oil terminal in Feodosia and other similar incidents until October 8.
The oil terminal in Feodosia has been on fire for three days since the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
