State Emergency Service clears nearly 620,000 explosive devices across Ukraine

Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) have neutralized 619,364 explosive devices since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

This was reported by the SES, according to Ukrinform.

"Since the start of Russia’s large-scale military aggression against Ukraine, a total of 619,364 explosive devices and 2,966 kilograms of explosives have been neutralized, including 5,004 aerial bombs. More than 190,571 hectares of territory have been surveyed," the statement said.

The report noted that pyrotechnic units most frequently operated in the following regions: Kharkiv – 50,033 times; Kherson – 25,918; Donetsk – 17,957; Kyiv – 15,465; Mykolaiv – 12,078; Chernihiv – 8,074; Sumy – 6,722.

Over the past 24 hours, SES pyrotechnic units were deployed 153 times, during which 222 explosive devices were discovered, removed, and neutralized, and 49.34 hectares of land were inspected.

The agency advises citizens to immediately report any suspicious objects or explosives by calling 101.

As reported earlier, in the de-occupied areas of Kherson region, sappers destroyed over 1,000 explosive devices in just one week.
