Russian troops strike rescuers in Nizhyn: one dead and two wounded
This was reported on Telegram by the Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, according to Ukrinform.
"The aggressor attacked Nizhyn again. It struck one of the State Emergency Service units with Shahed and Geran drones. Cynically and cruelly, on Rescuer's Day, they attacked the rescuers. Unfortunately, a 45-year-old emergency worker died from his injuries," Chaus said.

He noted that a 36-year-old rescuer was wounded and is now under medical supervision at a hospital in the capital, while a 31-year-old is in the trauma department.
According to the Head of the Regional Military Administration, the Russians struck a farm in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district with tube artillery, damaging a grain storage facility and a warehouse.
In the Koriukivka district, a forest fire broke out due to a UAV attack. The fire was extinguished.
Chaus added that over the past day, Russian invaders fired on the Chernihiv region 22 times. There were 48 attacks in 14 settlements in the region.
As reported by Ukrinform, on September 16, Russian troops launched 49 strikes on 16 settlements in the Chernihiv region, wounding a civilian and causing extensive damage.
