Russian artillery strike on Kherson kills woman

Russian troops shelled private homes in Kherson’s Dniprovskyi district, killing a woman.

The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Russian forces unleashed artillery fire on private residences in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. Rescuers recovered the body of a woman from the rubble of one of the destroyed homes,” Prokudin stated.

He added that the identity of the deceased is still being confirmed.

According to the Kherson City Military Administration, a 61-year-old woman from Kherson sought medical assistance after sustaining a blast injury, head trauma, and astheno-vegetative syndrome as a result of the enemy shelling in the Dniprovskyi district around 03:30 on September 2. She will receive outpatient treatment.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, on the morning of September 5, Russian forces shelled the Dniprovskyi and Korabelnyi districts of Kherson with artillery. Five civilians were injured, and damage was inflicted on apartment buildings, private homes, a transport facility, and vehicles.
