Russian shelling hits central Kherson, killing civilian

A 74-year-old man was killed on August 30 after Russian forces shelled the center of Kherson.

The Kherson City Military Administration reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Today, in the city center, Russian terrorists took the life of a 74-year-old resident of Kherson. The man sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy shelling at around 15:00. Our condolences go to his family and loved ones," the statement said.

Earlier the same day, Kherson came under a series of Russian drone attacks. A 59-year-old woman was injured in an initial strike. At around 17:00, another drone attack wounded a 62-year-old civilian. Shortly after, a 61-year-old man was injured in the torso and thigh in yet another drone strike. In the Korabelnyi district, a 45-year-old man was wounded by a Russian drone and hospitalized.
