Over 1,000 people evacuated from Korabel microdistrict in Kherson
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Alexander Prokudin.
“As of 12:00, 1,009 people have been evacuated from Korabel. Among them are 56 children and 110 people with limited mobility. The evacuation is ongoing,” Prokudin wrote.
However, according to him, there have been cases where evacuated families returned to Korabel almost immediately after leaving. Prokudin emphasized that residents must understand that the war is ongoing and that such actions put themselves and their loved ones in mortal danger.
He once again called on residents of the neighborhood to evacuate. To do so, they should contact the regional contact center at 0800 101 102 and 0800 330 951.
As reported by Ukrinform, as of Wednesday evening, August 6, 925 people, including 56 children and 106 people with reduced mobility, had been evacuated from the Korabel neighborhood in Kherson.
On August 2, the Russian army dropped two guided bombs on Kherson, damaging the road bridge leading to the Korabel microdistrict.
Due to the intensification of attacks by the Russian Federation, the Kherson authorities called on residents of the Korabel microdistrict to evacuate to safe regions.
