Child killed, five injured in Russian attacks on Kherson Region

A one-year-old child was killed and five other people were wounded in Russian attacks on Kherson Region throughout the day.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office on Facebook.

“According to the investigation, on July 9, 2025, the Russian army targeted populated areas in Kherson Region using various types of drones and artillery,” the report states.

As of 17:15, it has been confirmed that the child was killed and five adults sustained injuries as a result of Russian aggression.

In particular, in the village of Pravdyne, Russian forces directed a drone at a private household, killing the toddler and injuring an elderly woman who was caring for the child.

Elsewhere, drone strikes in Kherson, Antonivka, and Nadezhdivka left four civilians with injuries of varying severity.

Several residential and multi-story buildings, vehicles, and other civilian infrastructure were also damaged in multiple regional settlements.

Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into suspected war crimes.

As reported by Ukrinform earlier, a child was killed in Pravdyne as a result of a Russian drone attack.
