Number of injured rises following Russian drone strike in Odesa

On the morning of Thursday, July 3, a Russian drone struck a residential building in Odesa, injuring five people—including two children.

Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, said this in a post on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

The strike caused significant damage to a multi-story apartment block and surrounding civilian infrastructure. Fires broke out in several units but were successfully extinguished.

Six apartments were completely destroyed, and another 36 sustained partial damage. Among the injured were a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, both hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The adult victims received medical attention and are now continuing their treatment on an outpatient basis.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian drones struck Odesa overnight, causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure. One section of the affected residential building was heavily damaged in the strike.
