Injuries reported as Russian drone hits apartment building in Bilozerske, Donetsk region

Russian forces launched an overnight drone strike using a Geran-2 (Shahed-type) UAV at a five-story residential building in the town of Bilozerske, Donetsk region, injuring five civilians.

According to Ukrinform, the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported the incident on Facebook.

The enemy attack occurred at 2:00. The drone strike caused a fire upon impact.

While in their homes, three people were injured, including an 86-year-old woman. A 15-year-old boy and his mother also sustained injuries. The victims suffered blast injuries, bruises, shrapnel wounds, a closed fracture, and abrasions. All received medical treatment.

In total, the Russian strike damaged three apartment buildings and seven vehicles in the town.

Law enforcement authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of the laws and customs of war.

Earlier reports indicate that over 40 drones were launched by Russian forces across Ukraine overnight on June 26, with the main strikes targeting frontline areas in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
