
Air defenses intercept 125 out of 138 drones used by Russia to attack Ukraine
The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

Starting at 21:00 on Sunday, June 15, Russian invaders launched an attack on Ukraine using 138 strike drones of the Shahed type and various decoy drones from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, and Shatalove.
The main target of the assault was Donetsk region.
The aerial attack was countered by the Ukrainian Air Force, missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone units, and mobile fire teams of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 8:00 on Monday, June 16, Ukraine’s air defenses had neutralized 125 drones across northern, eastern, southern, and central Ukraine. Of these, 84 were shot down by fire weapons, while 41 were lost or suppressed by electronic warfare measures.
Impacts were recorded in 10 locations, with drone wreckage found at eight sites.
Earlier reports from Ukrinform noted that as a result of an attack by Russian drones in Kyiv region, a 60-year-old man was injured. A private home and outbuildings were also damaged.
