
Russians attack enterprise near Kharkiv with at least nine Shahed drones, injuring several
According to Ukrinform, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office provided the details on its Telegram channel.
"Between approximately 00:30 and 01:00 on May 28, at least nine enemy attack drones struck a private enterprise in the village of Vasyshcheve, Kharkiv district, according to the investigation. The attack ignited a fire, damaging warehouse buildings, premises, and vehicles. Three security guards sustained injuries. Additionally, a four-year-old girl living near the site was injured and is experiencing acute shock," the statement reads.
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region reported that more than ten drone strikes hit residential areas and a civilian enterprise, resulting in three fires. The most significant blaze occurred on the grounds of a private enterprise in Vasyshcheve, within the Bezliudivka community.
"A production workshop and a warehouse spanning a total of 1,580 square meters were engulfed in flames, alongside dry grass covering 200 square meters," emergency responders stated.
According to preliminary data from the prosecutor's office, the Russian army deployed Geran-2 UAVs in the strikes on Kharkiv. Pre-trial investigations into war crimes have been initiated under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine
As Ukrinform earlier reported, on the night of May 28, the suburbs of Kharkiv came under large-scale UAV attacks. An 85-year-old man died of his injuries in the hospital, while seven others sustained injuries of varying severity or suffered acute shock.
The strikes caused widespread destruction, decimating an enterprise and damaging apartment buildings, private residences, and cafes.
