
CinC Syrskyi: Russian army has lost nearly 170,000 troops since beginning of year
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi.
According to him, the Defense Forces continue to destroy the Russian invaders.
“The enemy's losses since the beginning of the year have reached almost 170,000 people (169,970),” noted Syrskyi.
The Commander-in-Chief thanked the Ukrainian soldiers for their courage, resilience and faith in Ukraine's victory and emphasized that the fight continues.
As Ukrinform reported, the total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022 to May 7, 2025 in the war against Ukraine amounted to about 960,770 people, including 1,270 people over the past day.
