Russians shell Kherson region with artillery and drones all day, injuring eight

In the Kherson region, Russian troops fired artillery, mortars, and drones throughout the day, injuring eight people.

This was reported in Telegram by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, Ukrinform reports.

“Eight people were injured in the Kherson region as a result of regular enemy shelling... On March 09, 2025, the Russian military fired artillery and mortar weapons at settlements in the Kherson region, attacked with UAVs and FPV drones,” the report says.

In particular, in Antonivka, five women and one man were injured of varying degrees during the day due to the explosion of shells dropped by the occupiers from a UAV. One of the victims is in a hospital in serious condition.

Around 09:00 am, a 55-year-old woman was injured as a result of artillery shelling in Kherson.

Around 15:00, the enemy also dropped a shell on a street in the regional center. An 18-year-old boy was taken to hospital with shrapnel wounds.

“Private and apartment buildings, warehouses and outbuildings, and vehicles were damaged,” the prosecutor's office added.

A pre-trial investigation into the commission of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched.

As the agency reported, three people were killed and nine others were injured in Kherson region yesterday, March 8, as a result of Russian aggression.
