Ukrainian forces eliminate 50 Russian troops near Toretsk, capture nearly a platoon
The Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group of Forces said in a post on Telegram that the operation had been carried out by the special reconnaissance company of the Azov Brigade.
"A private residential area near Toretsk was cleared of occupiers. During the operation, nearly 50 enemy soldiers were eliminated, and slightly less than a full platoon was taken captive," the statement said.
During the special operation, several dozen civilians and their pets were successfully evacuated from the combat zone.
Earlier reports said that fighters from the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Separate Mechanized Brigade continued their defense of Toretsk, targeting enemy forces to prevent their movement and disrupt Russian assault groups.
