Part of Odesa cut off power, heat following drone attack

As a result of a Russian drone attack, energy infrastructure in Odesa was damaged, leading to emergency power outages in parts of the city.

Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Oleh Kiper, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy once again launched a massive attack on peaceful Odesa with strike drones. As a result of the strike, there is damage to the energy infrastructure. Currently, emergency power outages are in effect in parts of the city. Communal services have already started working on launching generators to power critical infrastructure, including heating stations. Additional ‘points of invincibility’ are being deployed (425 are already operating)," he wrote.

Furthermore, as a result of falling debris and shock waves, two private houses and a business center were damaged.

According to the regional chief, there have been no reports of casualties so far.

"All relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack," Kiper added.

According to the city Mayor, Hennadii Trukhanov, three district heating stations were shut down as a result of the enemy shelling.

"We are working to restart the heating process as soon as possible using alternative power sources," the Mayor assured.

As reported earlier, explosions were heard in Odesa this evening during an air raid alert.
