Casualties, damage reported as Russians strike Odesa with ballistic missile

The Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Odesa’s port infrastructure, injuring two people and damaging a civilian vessel, according to preliminary reports.

This was reported on Telegram by Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper, as cited by Ukrinform.

"The enemy struck Odesa with a ballistic missile. As a result of the attack, port infrastructure was damaged, along with a civilian vessel flying the flag of the Republic of Panama, owned by a European company. Two port employees sustained injuries," the official stated.

Emergency services are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the strike, while medical personnel are providing necessary assistance to the injured.

Earlier, an explosion was heard in Odesa during an air raid alert.
