He stated this in an interview with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Ukrinform reports.
"Research and development -- an innovative activity of our command -- covers several areas. One of them, related to countering enemy aircraft and unmanned aerial systems, including finding solutions to combat Shaheds, led us to teams actively working in this field. And yes, to reiterate -- laser technologies are already striking specific targets at certain altitudes," Sukharevskyi said.
He noted that the Unmanned Systems Forces are continuously evolving, as this remains one of the key priorities of the command.
Earlier reports said that Ukraine has a laser weapon system called "Tryzub," capable of downing aircraft at an altitude of up to two kilometers.
