War update: 144 combat clashes on front lines in past day

As many as 144 combat engagements were recorded on the front lines in the past 24 hours.

Dmytro Hutsuliak, a spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced this on Ukrainian television, Ukrinform reports.

"Over the past 24 hours, 144 combat clashes have been recorded. According to detailed information, yesterday the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements with two missile strikes using one missile and 67 airstrikes using 104 guided aerial bombs. In addition, he launched 4,605 shelling attacks, including 94 using multiple rocket launchers," Hutsuliak said.

According to him, the aggressor carried out airstrikes near Hlyboke, Lyptsi, Mali Prokhody, Starytsia and Synkivka in the Kharkiv region; Terny, Lyman, Makiivka, Spirne, Chasiv Yar, Dobropillia, Pivnichne, Toretsk, Oleksandropil, Umanske, Pokrovsk, Zhelanne, Prohres, Arkhanhelske, Katerynivka, Urozhaine and Vodiane in the Donetsk region; Huliaipole, Lobkove, Rivnopil, Kamianske and Piatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region.

"Yesterday, the aircraft and rocket forces and artillery of the Defense Forces launched two strikes on enemy military equipment and personnel concentration areas, hit two command posts, an air defense systems, four radars and EW stations and two more important enemy targets," Hutsuliak added.

He noted that Russian invaders had lost 1,130 soldiers in the past day. Ukrainian forces also destroyed seven enemy tanks, 12 armored fighting vehicles, 54 artillery systems, 50 UAVs of the operational and tactical level, 92 vehicles and seven units of special equipment.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian invaders continued their offensive and assault operations. Twenty military clashes took place here, all of them near Hlyboke and Vovchansk. The occupiers actively used bomber aircraft for strikes.

In the Kupiansk sector, the number of attacks per day increased to 11. Ukrainian forces repelled all enemy assaults near Synkivka, Novoosykove, Andriivka, Berestove, and Stelmakhivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped ten attacks by the occupiers near Hrekivka, Makiivka, Terny, Torske, and in the Serebriansky forest.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled ten assaults. The enemy tried to advance near Spirne, Verkhnyokamianske, Vyimka, and Rozdolivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian soldiers stopped six enemy attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses. The main efforts of the occupiers, with the support of aviation, were made in the area of Chasiv Yar.

Russian troops continued to actively operate in the Toretsk sector. In total, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Pivnichne and Niu-York areas 29 times. The enemy carried out airstrikes using guided aerial bombs.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 26 assaults and attacks near Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Karlivka, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka, where the invaders, with the support of aircraft, tried to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions.

In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian forces stopped enemy attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Paraskoviivka, where the enemy made 12 times to break through Ukrainian defenses.

In the Vremivka sector, the enemy launched three assaults on Ukrainian positions near Kostiantynivka and Novodarivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, seven combat clashes were recorded near Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka. In addition, the invaders fired about a hundred unguided aerial missiles in the direction of Huliaipole, Lobkove, Rivnopil, Kamianske and Piatykhatky.

In the Dnipro River sector, the occupiers attempted to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions on the east bank of the Dnipro River. Five attacks by the Russians were unsuccessful.
