Car explodes on mine in Chernihiv region - casualties reported, two children hospitalized

A car with four passengers exploded on a mine on a forest road in the Chernihiv region: adults were killed, two children are in hospital.

This was reported by the police of Chernihiv region on Facebook, according to Ukrinform. 

"Yesterday, August 28, at about 7 p.m., the police received a report that a civilian car had exploded in the Chernihiv district. The explosion killed a man and a woman, two children are currently hospitalized," the statement said.

According to the police, it has been preliminarily established that the car hit a mine on a forest road. As a result of the explosion, the car caught fire. The driver and passenger were killed, and two young children were injured.

According to law enforcement officials, the car was driven by an employee of the Patrol Police Office in the Chernihiv region of the Patrol Police Department. 

As reported, a man exploded an anti-personnel mine in the Kharkiv region.
