
Russian army shells 20 settlements in Zaporizhzhia overnight
Yuriy Malashko, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Over the past day, Russian troops struck 79 times in 20 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region. 64 artillery attacks took place on the territory of Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, Poltavka, Zatyshshya, Kamianske, Plavni, Stepove, and other frontline villages," the statement reads.
According to Malashko, six air strikes were recorded - on Komyshuvakha, Orikhiv, and Mala Tokmachka, five attacks from MLRS on Novoandriivka, and four UAV attacks on Zaliznychne, Charivne, and Pyatikhatky.
The head of the RMA noted that there were 22 reports of the destruction of residential buildings, commercial structures, and infrastructure. There were no civilian casualties as a result of the shelling.
As reported, on August 17, Russian troops fired 48 times at the Kherson region, firing over 200 shells in total.
