Commanders should be engaged in war, not bureaucracy - Zelensky

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the intention to find a solution to improve the performance of military commanders, who he believes should be engaged in war, not bureaucracy.

The president touched upon the issue in his latest video address to the nation, seen by Ukrinform.

“An important topic is how commanders can manage their personnel. Motivation of warriors, training of warriors, manning of units. There are a lot of problems due to the poor performance of the military medical commissions... Military commanders should be engaged in war, not bureaucracy. We will develop solutions," Zelensky said.

As reported, on Monday, President Volodymyr Zelensky was on a working trip to Donetsk region, where he visited the headquarters of the army brigades that run offensive operations in the area of responsibility of the Soledar Operational-Tactical Group, made a stop at the advanced stabilization point that hosts wounded and injured Ukrainian servicemen from the Bakhmut axis, and presented state awards to a number of Ukraine’s defenders.
