Russia puts three Ukrainian generals on the wanted list
This was reported on the TASS Telegram channel, according to Ukrinform.
Major Generals of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ihor Palahniuk and Andriy Kovalchuk are also among those wanted by Russia. The aggressor state accuses Ukrainian defenders of 'shelling Donbas'.
According to the Russian 'investigation', in 2016, 2017, and 2019, they commanded units that allegedly shelled settlements in the Donetsk region, resulting in deaths and injuries.
As reported, the Russian Interior Ministry has put the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, and the Commander of the Land Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi on the wanted list 'under a criminal article'.
Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar explained such decisions by Russian law enforcement agencies as an attempt by Russia to neutralize Ukraine's status as a victim of the crime of aggression, to exert psychological pressure on Ukrainian defenders, and generally called it "one of the methods of information warfare."
