Canadian instructors training Ukrainian sappers
That’s according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
"While the war with Russia continues, Ukrainian military and civilians are facing an explosive threat on the battlefield. A detachment of Canadian combat sappers is helping Ukrainian servicemen to learn ways to deal with mine threats on the battlefield as part of the Canadian Armed Forces' UNIFIER training operation," the statement reads.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces recalled that Canadian servicemen had deployed in Poland to use their experience and train Ukrainian soldiers and ensure their operational readiness.
As Ukrinform reported, during March-July, medical technicians with the Armed Forces of Canada trained about 130 combat medics from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
