One killed, 15 injured in Russia’s missile attack on apartment block in Kryvyi Rih

One person has been killed and 15 injured in Russia’s recent missile strike on an apartment block in the city of Kryvyi Rih.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

One of Russian missiles hit a 9-storey apartment block, having smashed a section from floor 4 to floor 9. A fire broke out on floor 4 and covered an area of about 70 square meters. The fire has been localized so far.

“A child born in 2013 has been rescued. One person was killed and 15 injured,” the report states.

Rescuers are conducting firefighting operations and evacuating civilians from apartments.

The scale of damage is yet to be checked. An emergency tent was set up to provide psychological aid to people.

Another Russian missile struck a 4-storey building of the educational institution, having smashed floor 2 to floor 4. Three persons were injured.

A total of 230 professionals and 57 equipment units are involved in search and rescue works at the scene.

A reminder that, on the morning of July 31, 2023, explosions were heard in the city of Kryvyi Rih. An apartment block and an educational institution were struck by two Russian missiles. Initially, one person was reported killed and 10 injured.
