Missile attack on Odesa: one person killed, eight injured

A 21-year-old security guard at a civilian building was killed in a nighttime attack in Odesa on July 20.

Eight people were injured, including three employees of the State Emergency Service.

Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Unfortunately, as a result of the Russian night attack, we have one dead person in Odesa. The victim was a guard of a civilian building, born in 2002," the statement reads.

Head of the Military Administration also reported on the victims of the shelling.

"Eight people were injured as a result of the night attack in Odesa, including three employees of the State Emergency Service. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the region," Kiper said.

He also added that three victims were hospitalized in city hospitals. All three are in moderate condition, including an employee of the State Emergency Service.

"The people have shrapnel wounds and poisoning from combustion products. Everyone is receiving the necessary medical care," said Kiper.

As Ukrinform reported, the enemy attacked Odesa with missiles last night. As a result of the night shelling in the city center, many buildings and a kindergarten were destroyed. One of the victims, who has already been taken to the hospital, is in serious condition.
