Border guards record movement of Wagner groups to Belarus
"According to the available information, separate groups of representatives of private military companies moving from the territory of Russia are spotted in Belarus," Andriy Demchenko, the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said.
It is noted that border guards continue to monitor the situation in order to understand the location, number, and tasks of militants.
As reported, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus stated that the PMC Wagner fighters instructed local territorial defense units.
On July 6, Lukashenko declared that he was ready to use PMC Wagner in Belarus.
According to Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Wagner representatives, who may be redeployed to the territory of Belarus, are exhausted remnants who do not pose a threat to the Armed Forces of Ukraine but can carry out provocations in the border areas of Ukraine to restrain Ukrainian troops and divert reserves.
