Russia is withdrawing its military units from Belarus, and now there is no required offensive grouping.

The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service Andrii Demchenko during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The situation on the border with Belarus is remaining fully controlled. The creation of the required offensive grouping that would be ready to carry out the offensive from the territory of Belarus has not been recorded,” Demchenko told.

In his words, there is no movement of military equipment or personnel. No Russian offensive groupings were spotted within the territory of Belarus. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defense Forces are aware of additional potential threat and are constantly ready for action.

According to Demchenko, the number of Russian troops remaining within the territory of Belarus has significantly reduced. This indicates that Russia is withdrawing its military units from Belarus.

Earlier, the number of Russian troops deployed in Belarus was ranging in between 10,000-11,000.

Demchenko emphasized that Ukraine’s intelligence units, including those of the State Border Guard Service, are closely monitoring everything happening on the other side of the border.
