Ministry of Defense: Over week, Russians launch 39 missile, 334 air strikes on Ukraine

Over the past week, Russian invaders have launched 39 missiles and 334 air strikes on Ukraine.

Hanna Malyar, Deputy Minister of Defense, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The results for the past week: during the week, the enemy launched 39 missiles and 334 air strikes on Ukraine," the statement reads.

Over the past week, the area liberated in eastern Ukraine amounted to 24 square kilometers as a result of improved operational (tactical) situation and the alignment of the front line. Over the week, the area of liberated territory increased by 4 square kilometers.

"Overall, over the past week the number of attacks in the eastern direction increased to 7184. The enemy fired 343,402 artillery and rocket shells at us," noted Malyar.

In the south, as a result of offensive actions in certain areas, the Ukrainian defense line advanced deeper into the positions of the invaders. The liberated area amounts to 168.6 square kilometers, an increase of 10.2 square kilometers over the week.

"In total, 4318 hostile attacks were registered in the Tavria direction over the past week," noted Malyar.

 Over the past week, the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted more than 79 strikes on enemy concentration areas, eight command centers, 17 electronic warfare stations, and 11 enemy ammunition depots.

The defense forces destroyed 24 enemy anti-aircraft missile systems and 39 of 67 Iranian Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs.

As reported, Ukrainian defenders continue to liberate territories in the Melitopol, Berdiansk and Bakhmut directions.
