Five men, two women killed during occupation found in Donetsk region

In the liberated village of Bohorodychne, Donetsk region, law enforcement officers found the bodies of five men and two women who died during the temporary occupation of the region by the army of the Russian Federation.

The Office of the Prosecutor General wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, investigative and operational measures are underway to identify and document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian Armed Forces in the region.

"Prosecutors, together with police investigators, found the bodies of five men and two women aged 60 to 72 years at the time of death in the liberated village of Bohorodychne, Kramatorsk district. The identities of two more victims are being established," the statement said.

All died during the temporary seizure of the settlement by units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.

The bodies have been sent for forensic medical examination.

Measures are being taken to establish the crimes' circumstances, witnesses and eyewitnesses.

A pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is underway.

As Ukrinform reported, law enforcement officers found 385 bodies in Donetsk region on the territories liberated from Russian troops, and 282 people have been identified so far.
