War update: Bakhmut and Marinka remaining epicenter of hostilities, 37 clashes in four directions

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched 14 strikes on Russian troops, namely seven strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment clusters, and the rest on air defense missile systems.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit one Russian command post, two enemy personnel clusters, three artillery units in firing position, two electronic warfare systems, and one ammunition depot.

Russian invaders continue focusing efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Thirty-seven military clashes took place there.

The Donetsk region’s Bakhmut and Marinka are remaining the epicenter of hostilities.

Over the past day, Russian troops have launched two missile strikes and 38 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 25 times. Russian S-300 missiles targeted the Donetsk region’s Kostiantynivka.

According to the General Staff, the threat of Russian missile and air strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, Russian troops launched mortar and artillery strikes on the Chernihiv region’s Yeline and Muravi; the Sumy region’s Vovkivtsi, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Shpyl and Stepok; the Kharkiv region’s Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Lukiantsi, Hatyshche, Budarky, Nesterne, Kruhle, Zemlianky and Starytsia.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russians continue attempts to improve their tactical position. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensice actions near Masiutivka.

Russian invaders used aircraft to attack Kyslivka, as well as artillery and mortars to strike the Kharkiv region’s Dvorichanske, Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Mytrofanivka, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Zapadne, Kindrashivka, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Berestove, and the Luhansk region’s Stelmakhivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders did not conduct offensive actions but launched an air strike near Spirne, and attacked with artillery the Luhansk region’s Makiivka and Bilohorivka, and the Donetsk region’s Verkhniokamianske and Spirne.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russians continue conducting offensive actions. Heavy battles for the Donetsk region’s Bakhmut continue. The enemy shelling affected the Donetsk region’s Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Druzhba, Pivnichne, Petrivka and Toretsk.

Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Ivanivske.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian invaders continue destroying civil infrastructure across settlements. The enemy launched an air strike on the Donetsk region’s Avdiivka, and shelled Stepove, Lastochkyne, Pervomaiske, Avdiivka and Karlivka.

In the Marinka direction, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled numerous enemy attacks near the Donetsk region’s Marinka. The enemy shelling affected also Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka.

In the Shakhtarske direction, Russian troops attacked Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Novoukrainka and Shakhtarske.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops continue holding defense. The enemy launched air strikes on the Donetsk region’s Vilne Pole; the Zaporizhzhia region’s Mala Tokmachka; and the Kherson region’s Stanislav.

The enemy shelling affected the Donetsk region’s Burlatske, Vilne Pole, Novopil; the Zaporizhzhia region’s Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv and Kamianske; and the city of Kherson.

In the Zaporizhzhia region’s temporarily occupied areas, those who agreed to cooperate with Russian invaders had been asked to renounce Ukrainian citizenship in writing and obtain Russian citizenship. Those who refuse are threatened with dismissal from their jobs and further prosecution.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, in order to strengthen control over population, operations teams of Russia’s Internal Affairs Ministry and Federal Security Service conduct raids on railway and bus stations. The Crimean Tatars are checked first.
