Great Britain will be a key part of the coalition of partners that provides support in the development of the Air Force of Ukraine.

UK Minister Rishi Sunak said this at a joint briefing with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As noted, the UK will be a key part of the coalition of partners that provides relevant support to President Zelensky and Ukraine. It is not an easy task to develop the capabilities of the Air Force; this includes not only the transfer of aircraft but also pilot training and the accompanying logistics in which Great Britain can play a big role, Sunak stressed.

The UK Prime Minister noted that he and Zelensky discussed the training of Ukrainian pilots which will start relatively soon.

Sunak also stressed that other countries will be involved in the creation of the aviation coalition for Ukraine, and he will discuss this issue with other leaders later this week.

We are very interested in building a coalition of countries that provide Volodymyr and his people with the aviation support they need, the UK Prime Minister emphasized.

As reported, the British government announced that the training of Ukrainian pilots will begin this summer.
