Tractor runs over mine in Kherson region, driver seriously injured

A tractor has run over a Russian anti-tank mine in the Kherson region. The driver suffered serious injuries.

The relevant statement was made by Kherson Regional State Administration on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The tragic event took place near the Kherson region’s village of Olhyne. During farming works, a 54-year-old man, driving the tractor, was injured in a mine blast.

The tractor driver suffered serious injuries: about 20% of his body had been burnt; his hands, legs and chest had been hit by shrapnel.

The injured man was taken to hospital in the Dnipropetrovsk region’s city of Kryvyi Rih. Doctors are now fighting for his life.

A reminder that, on May 6, 2023, a team of bomb technicians came under enemy fire during demining works in the Kherson region. Six professionals were killed.
