AFU eliminate 36 occupiers, injure 108 more in Lyman-Kupiansk direction

In the Lyman-Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched 565 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian defenders. Ukraine’s Defense Forces, in turn, eliminated 36 Russian invaders and wounded 108 more.

Serhii Cherevatyi, the spokesperson for the Eastern Grouping of Troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said this during the news telethon, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"This direction is the record holder for attacks by enemy forces. Throughout this day, they launched  565 strikes with MLRS and artillery, a combat clash took place. Our soldiers eliminated 36 occupiers, wounded 108 more, damaged a T-72 tank, two IFV-1 - these are obsolete vehicles - and also targeted a mortar crew," the spokesman said.

According to him, the enemy would seek to regain Lyman and other settlements, but for several weeks in a row, they have not had any success. Regular troops mostly operate here, Cherevatyi said.

As Ukrinform reported, from February 24, 2022 to May 3, 2023, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 191,940 Russian invaders, including 520 soldiers in the past 24 hours.
