In Berdiansk Russians tear up Ukrainian passports during document "checks"

Residents of the temporarily occupied Berdiansk reported that Russians were tearing up Ukrainian passports during an alleged document check.

The Berdiansk city military administration reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform reports.

"We have already been informed of two cases when the Russian military stopped Berdiansk residents to check their documents and then tore up their Ukrainian passports, ordering them to go to issue a Russian piece of paper," the post reads.

The city council reminded them of the possibility of registering with Diia to always have access to Ukrainian documents.

It also adds the need to take photos of the documents and save them in cloud storage or, for example, by sending them to your e-mail.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov advises residents of the temporarily occupied territories to take Russian passports to avoid danger to their lives.
