In the United Kingdom, as part of the multinational training operation, the New Zealand Defence Force personnel are helping turn Ukrainian recruits into capable soldiers, providing them with skills needed to survive and be effective in frontline combat.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, 65 professionals from New Zealand are in the United Kingdom, where they will instruct Ukrainian recruits in mastering such skills as weapon handling, marksmanship, combat first aid, and offensive and defence operations in various environments.

A reminder that, on August 15, 2022, the New Zealand Government and New Zealand Defence Force officially announced a further significant deployment of 120 New Zealand Defence Force personnel to the United Kingdom to help train Ukrainian soldiers.
