On April 19, 2023, Russian troops were shelling the border areas of the Kharkiv region’s Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk districts.

The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Strilecha, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, Dvorichna and other settlements came under enemy fire,” the report states.

According to Syniehubov, demining efforts are underway in the Kharkiv region. Over the past day, the explosives experts of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service have inspected more than 15 hectares and neutralized 283 dangerous objects.

The Main Department of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region reported that Russian invaders had struck the residential areas of Kupiansk with rocket artillery.

As a result, a detached house caught fire. The neighboring house was left with its windows broken. According to the preliminary data, no casualties were reported.

Additionally, rescuers inspected the area previously affected by the enemy shelling in the village of Petropavlivka. Six detached houses and a household building were reported damaged. Civilians remained unharmed.
