Russian Federation may reconsider its strategic goals of war, including the capture of Ukraine’s Left Bank this year, due to the effective work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which led to the reduction in the Russian military potential.

Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Realizing the fact that there is no threat to internal stability, the Kremlin leadership continues the war of aggression against our state. At the same time, the experience and courage of our defenders, their skillful use of weapons provided by the partners led to a reduction in the military potential of the Russian Federation. And this will almost certainly force the aggressor to reconsider its strategic goals of the war once again, including the phased seizure of Ukraine’s entire Left Bank this year," Hromov said.
