Ukraine's Air Force launches 17 strikes on enemy in past 24 hours

Ukrainian defenders repelled 59 enemy attacks in the past 24 hours, with Russian forces concentrating their offensive action in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk areas.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update early on Saturday, March 25, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk areas. Our defenders repelled 59 enemy attacks there. In the last day, Ukrainian combat aircraft launched 17 strikes on areas where the occupiers were concentrated," the update said.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna areas, the operational situation has not changed significantly, with no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups detected. In the past day, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Horodyshche in the Chernihiv region, Kharkivka, Studenok, Iskryskivshchyna, Vorozhba, Bilopillia, Richky and Myropillia in the Sumy region, as well as Basove, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Budarky, Ambarne and Topoli in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman areas, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the Serebrianka forestry area and outside the settlements of Hrianykivka, Synkivka, Dibrova, Bilohorivka and Spirne. The areas of the settlements of Kamianka, Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Zapadne, Kupiansk, Pishchane and Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region, Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Dibrova and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, as well as Terny and Spirne in the Donetsk region all came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy continues its assault on the city of Bakhmut, as well as outside the settlements of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske and Stupochky of the Donetsk region. The enemy shelled the settlements of Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Predtechyne, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Zalizne, Pivnichne and Toretsk.

In the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk areas, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive action outside Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Marinka, Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar. The settlements of Avdiivka, Tonenke, Netailove, Lastochkyne, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva of the Donetsk region were subjected to numerous enemy attacks.

The enemy is defending in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson areas. At the same time, enemy forces shelled the settlements of Olhivske, Malynivka, Chervone, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka and Stepove in the Zaporizhzhia region and Beryslav, Tiahynka, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Shyroka Balka and Kherson city in the Kherson region.

Russian occupiers continue to put pressure on the local population in the temporarily occupied territories. On March 22, Russia's National Guard servicemen conducted a raid in the settlement of Chaplynka, Kherson region. During the inspection, special attention was paid to citizens' personal documents, vehicles and mobile phones.

Ukrainian defenders shot down an enemy Mi-24 helicopter and six unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.

Ukrainian rocket and artillery units, in turn, hit two command posts, four enemy concentration areas, two anti-aircraft missile systems, an ammunition depot, an artillery unit in a firing position, and two electronic warfare stations.
