Four civilians killed in 79 Russian strikes on Kherson region in past day

Four people were killed and three people, including a child, were injured in Russian shelling of Kherson region yesterday, March 9.

"Over the past day, the Russians launched 79 strikes, firing 407 shells from heavy artillery and Grad multiple launch rocket systems," Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.

According to Prokudin, the enemy struck Kherson city nine times. A total of 47 shells slammed into residential neighborhoods, private houses, apartment blocks, and a public transport stop.

"Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties. Four people were killed and three, including a child, were injured," Prokudin noted.

Another 78 people were evacuated from the areas of the region liberated from the Russians.

As reported, on March 8, the Russian army shelled the territory of Kherson region 86 times, killing one person and injuring three more.
