A total of 9,836 people from Russia and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine have already applied to the I Want to Live project for Russians who are ready to surrender.

"For the six months of the project's implementation, despite the regular attempts of Roskomnadzor [Russia’s Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media] to block access to it, more than 14 million people, 84% of whom are users from the territory of Russia, visited I Want to Live website," Ukraine’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War posted on Telegram.

Apart from the Russian military, their relatives and loved ones contact the hotline. Often, mobilized Russians do not have access to the Internet or mobile communication upon arrival to Ukraine.

As reported, I Want to Live is a state project designed to help Russian military personnel safely surrender. Russian service members and their relatives can get relevant information by calling +380 95 68 86 888; +380 93 68 86 888; +380 97 68 86 888, as well as on the project’s website.
