Death toll in Russia’s missile attack on Zaporizhzhia rises to five

Rescuers have recovered one more body from under the rubble of an apartment block hit by the Russian missile on the night of March 2, 2023. Thus, the total death toll increased to five.

The relevant statement was made by the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region in a commentary to journalists, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As of 08:00 a.m., five bodies of victims were found under the rubble of the house. Ten people are listed as missing and eight injured,” the police said.

A reminder that rescuers have been working at the scene around the clock for over a day now. Search and dismantling works continue. A total of 116 professionals from different services and 25 equipment units are involved in the rescue operation.
