Zaporizhzhia strike: 10 remain missing under apartment block rubble

As a result of today’s Russian missile attack on a residential building in Zaporizhzhia, two people were killed and another 10 are missing.

That’s according to the local Department of National Police, Ukrinform reports.

"As a result of the shelling in Zaporizhzhia, two people died (a female and another victim, whose gender is yet to be identified)," the police told journalists.

As for the previously published report claiming the death toll stood at four, there has been no official confirmation. During a search and rescue operation, body fragments were found, but it is not yet known whether they belong to one or several victims.

Law enforcers also noted that 10 persons (six women, three men, and a child) are considered missing as of this evening. Eight people were injured (four men and four women), of which seven were hospitalized.

As reported, around 01:30 local time, enemy S300 missiles struck Zaporizhzhia, hitting and ruining a residential building.

Psychologists provided assistance to 71 civilians at the scene of the strike.

The emergency service team rescued 11 people.
