Ukraine’s Air Force launches 29 strikes on enemy positions

Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force launched 20 strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment clusters, seven strikes – on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems, and two more – on other important objects.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, February 20, published on Facebook.

"Over the past day, the enemy launched 10 missile strikes, 25 airstrikes (Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions), and 62 MLRS attacks. Civilians were killed and injured," the report reads.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian troops repelled Russia’s attacks near Hrianykivka in Kharkiv region; Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Vasiukivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, and Ivanivske in Donetsk region.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were spotted in Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions. Over the past day, the areas of Karpovychi, Tymonovichi, Yanzhulivka in Chernihiv region; Buniakyne, Atynske, Stukalivka, Zapsillia, Pokrovka in Sumy region; Strilecha, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Stroyivka in Kharkiv region came under enemy fire.

In Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy shelled the settlements of Kamyanka, Kolodiazne, Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Kupyansk, Berestove, and Pershotravneve in Kharkiv region; Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Dibrova, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Bilohorivka and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.

In Bakhmut direction, Vasiukivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka, Mayorsk, and New York came under fire. In addition, the enemy used army aviation to launch a strike in Bakhmut area.

In Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the occupiers fired artillery at the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Vesele, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Shakhtarske, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka, Neskuchne in Donetsk region.

In Zaporizhzhia region, the areas Novosilka and Novopil in Donetsk region; Poltavka, Malynivka, Huliaypole, Charivne, Bilohirya, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, and Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhia region were struck.

In Kherson direction, Kherson, Burhunka, Tiahynka, Antonivka in Kherson region; Ochakiv in Mykolayiv region came under fire. Civilian casualties were reported.

The Russian occupiers exert pressure on the civilian population in the temporarily occupied territories. In some localities of Kherson region, the invaders set up cells in administrative buildings for the illegal detention of Ukrainian citizens who are suspected of having a pro-Ukrainian position and cooperating with the Defense Forces.

Our defenders also shot down an enemy Su-25 aircraft, two Orlan-10 UAVs, and two Lancet-3 kamikaze drones. Missile and artillery units hit an enemy MLRS battery," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs.

As reported, since February 24, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 142,860 Russian invaders.
