The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Ihor Klymenko during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“About 10.5 thousand persons submitted applications via the website [of the Offensive Guard – Ed.], and 6.5 thousand persons came via administrative services centers,” Klymenko told.
In his words, there are 600 requests from female applicants. They can be involved in medical and logistics units.
According to Klymenko, the average age of applicants is 33. They will sign a contract for a period of three years.
“We have many patriotic young people who are willing to defend our country with weapons in their hands,” Klymenko added.
A reminder that the Ukrainian Internal Affairs Ministry announced recruitment for the Offensive Guard assault brigades on February 2, 2023. The new recruits are expected to join the ranks on April 1, 2023.
